PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome Miami-Dade and Broward County High School Seniors!

It is a great honor to serve as President of Salute to Education and work alongside the many sponsors and volunteers who make this scholarship endeavor a success!

In 1994, the Miami-Dade and Broward County Ford and Lincoln dealers established Salute to Education with a shared goal of recognizing the achievements and tremendous potential demonstrated by high school students in South Florida. 

With the consistent rise in college tuition, students have come to rely on scholarships like ours to help fund their post secondary education.  We are committed to granting scholarships and assisting high school seniors in South Florida with their educational goals.  We are proud to have granted over $3.5 million in scholarships to more than 3,600 students in Miami-Dade and Broward County over the last 17 years!

The rewards of this program have begun to bear fruit, as tomorrow's leaders are already making a difference today! Our goal is to encourage college-bound students to reach their career objectives by rewarding those who strive to achieve excellence in the classroom, as well as in their community.

On behalf of the Miami-Dade and Broward County Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealers and Ford Motor Company, I would like to congratulate the 140 winners of the 2010-2111 Salute to Education Scholarship! We are very proud of your accomplishments! I would also like to wish good luck to those applying for the 2011-2012 scholarship!
